PRESS: UBS shows interest in privatization of Russian assets
MOSCOW, Jun 8 (PRIME) -- UBS bank is showing interest in privatization of Russian assets, including shipping company Sovcomflot and oil company Bashneft, Yelena Titova, CEO for Russia and CIS, said in an interview with business daily Vedomosti released Wednesday.
“The question is what and how will be privatized. It is clear that it is not easy at such market in many cases, but there are good assets. We have filed bids, it is not a secret,” she said.
UBS is first of all interested in privatization of Sovcomflot, she said.
“This is a high quality company, which has been ready for a long time and is waiting for conditions and relevant decisions on this issue. The only question is when it is reasonable to do it – this year or at the beginning of next year. The placement of (uncut diamond monopoly) ALROSA will be certainly interesting as well. I think that VTB as well. In our business this is always a question of price. There are shares which are easier or more difficult to place,” she said.
